REGIONAL HEAD OF MARKETING

Role Purpose:
Lead the development and execution of a unified regional marketing strategy across Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya, ensuring brand consistency, partner alignment, and commercial impact, while enabling local markets to retain agility.
Key Responsibilities
• Define the regional brand portfolio strategy and ensure alignment with group objectives.
• Build the annual regional marketing plan, consolidating country inputs and principal requirements.
• Lead engagements with brand owners/principals and act as their primary regional marketing interface.
• Approve country marketing calendars, A&P budgets, and visibility plans.
• Oversee regional market research, competitive mapping, pricing insights, and category intelligence.
• Ensure creation and adoption of regional brand toolkits (POS, packaging standards, campaigns).
• Monitor marketing ROI, brand performance KPIs, and execution quality in each market.
• Facilitate cross-country knowledge sharing and capability building.
• Support vendor sourcing decisions through brand fit evaluations and category insights.
Requirements
• 8–12 years in FMCG marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior/regional role.
• Strong understanding of trade marketing, brand management, and route-to-market dynamics.
• Experience working with multinational principals
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Based in Nairobi; frequent travel across East Africa.
