About the Job
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving both field and digital sales, strengthening retail relationships, and generating new business opportunities. This role requires someone confident in door-to-door sales, knowledgeable about the informal retail market, and capable of managing customer engagement across both in-person and online platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Sales & Business Development
- Sign up the business with major retail chains (supermarkets) and distributors.
- Conduct field visits to retail shops to drive product placement and increase order volumes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners to ensure a frequent flow of orders.
- Ensure timely stock replenishment for existing customers.
Customer & Market Engagement
- Gather insights on customer preferences and provide feedback for product improvements.
- Engage with clients both physically and digitally, maintaining consistent communication.
- Manage the company’s social media pages to promote products and engage customers.
Operational Support
- Work with the production team to support demand forecasting and production planning.
- Coordinate with suppliers, distributors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the ICT team to develop compelling website content and digital assets.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Business, Sales & Marketing, or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in FMCG, retail sales, or supermarket/minimarket engagement.
- Existing retail customer networks are a strong added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
- Knowledge of the informal retail market and field sales operations.
- Proficiency in social media management and online client engagement.
- Ability to analyze customer feedback and propose improvements.
- Highly proactive, results-driven, and able to meet sales targets.
- Good teamwork and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What We Offer
- Starting salary: KES 20,000 for the first 6 months (reviewed after confirmation, based on performance).
