General Responsibility
The Senior Micro EnterpriseOfficer reports to the Project Manager-Re:BUiLD and will be responsible formaintaining program quality and compliance across all activities, ensuringprogram approaches are clearly documented, understood by the program teams, andimplemented.
Detailed Responsibilities
Help conduct outreach to communityand local business owners, private sector partners and other collaborators asadvised by Re:Build management. Conduct info sessions to clientsas the main facilitator, and schedule network cohorts or sessions. Train Livelihoods Centre Resourcestaff in delivering self-employment outcomes as per the RCT design. Provide introduction sessions tomicro enterprise clients, including on attendance requirements and protectionrelated issues, drawing in other staff as necessary. Conducts review meetings withBusiness Training Officer, Research Monitors and Community Facilitators assessthe networking process and collect reports. Under the direction of the ResearchManager, conduct monitoring of Micro Enterprise Officer, Research Monitors andCommunity Facilitators in following up on individual client's business,business plan and grant application. Coordinate closely with M&Eand data staff on targeting, data collection, data systems and informationmanagement. Chip in to baseline, interim andend-line assessment efforts and program reporting, providing clear input onbusiness training, micro-enterprise, and networking activities. Assist in the design, collection,and analysis of quality data on research clients. Coordinate closely with IRClogistics, Finance, and Grant staff to ensure timely and compliant programactivities and expenditures. Under the direction of the ProjectManager, help collaborate closely with MSMEs and private sector members toprovide mentorship services to business clients. Coordinate networking sessions forinteractive and extensive networks as per the wave 2 research design and offertechnical support as per the networks guidelines. Support timely and qualitydevelopment of business grants payment documentation.Provide supervision to BTOs andsupport their technical development through regular check in and reviewmeetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in socialsciences, public or business administration or equivalent. At least 4 years of experience inlivelihood programs that promote self-employment under business support. Demonstrated experience andcapacity in training and facilitation and working daily with vulnerablepopulations. Strong ability to workindependently, coordinate work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritizework under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention todetail. Excellent interpersonal andproblem-solving skills, creativity, and flexibility. INGO experience preferred. Personal qualities: promotesteamwork and coordination within and across teams, comfortable in amulti-cultural environment, very flexible and adaptable, ability to contributeacross multiple activities and departments. Fluency in English and Kiswahilirequired.
