Job Summary
Our Client, a multinational FMCG retail brand with an extensive footprint across Kenya, is hiring a Stores Renovator to oversee renovations across all their retail stores and depots. The role requires a tech-savvy draughtsman with strong project management skills to ensure quality and timely delivery of renovations. You will be required to design, supervise, and deliver modern, functional, and business-driven store upgrades on time and within budget.
- Minimum Qualification : Bachelors
- Experience Level : Mid level
- Experience Length : 7 years
Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare design and lay out plans of stores/depots approved for renovation and standardization for discussion.
- Ensure continuous development of stores and depots according to the Company’s
policy to improve business.
- Source and evaluate materials, quotations, and contractors for cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain updated market rates and benchmark costs of various jobs to be carried out.
- Supervise renovation works to ensure compliance with proposed specifications and timelines.
- Confirm booking of invoices and follow up on contractor payments to ensure timely settlement.
- Prepare weekly schedules on renovation progress of Stores and Depots and follow it up.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Interior Design, Architecture, or Structural Engineering.
- Project Management certification is an added advantage.
- 7+ years’ experience in store/retail renovation or related projects.
- Proficiency in technical drawings and project execution.
- Strong supervisory, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
