Mechanics & Electricians for Cranes and Heavy Equipment

Duties and responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot heavy equipment MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL systems, controllers, and sensors.

2. Service, repair, and overhaul/replace all electric components e.g., starter motors, alternator, monitors, displays and camera systems on allocated equipment

3. Preform inspections on equipment allocated for repairs to ensure complete and progressive preventative maintenance and safety standards of equipment.

4. Manage all on site repairs and maintenance, when and where required.

5. Travels to client's locations and perform required maintenance activities.

6. Install and repair wiring systems.

7. Diagnose MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL issues and proposing a course of action.

8. Repair and replace faulty wiring or electrical components.

9. Preform inspections on equipment allocated for repairs to ensure complete and progressive preventative maintenance and safety standards of equipment.

10. Perform &/or assist in preventative maintenance on mobile cranes and aerial work platforms.

11. Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist.

12. Ensure the cleanliness of cranes workshop and work area.

13. Adhere to safe work procedures and complete risk assessments before commencing any work.

14. Identify parts for replacement and equipment for repairs.

15. Perform basic mechanical repairs for heavy equipment.

16. Maintain detailed records of serviced equipment.

17. Report to direct manager regarding status of allocated work.

18. Keep direct manager informed whenever found any issue with the equipment.

19. Completing job reports and processing paperwork.

20. Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of college certificate or diploma within the related field.

2. Experienced on Lifting Equipment e.g., mobile cranes, wheel loaders, forklifts and backhoe

3. Familiar with Tadano, Liebherr, RTC & ATC cranes brands, Doosan & Cat wheel loaders, Actros

trucks Doosan forklift, Cummins/Perkins generators and JCB backhoe loaders

4. Experience between 5 – 20 years in maintenance of Earth Moving Equipment

5. Electric Diagrams, CAN Bus, Mechanical / Electrical component overhauling.

6. Basic mechanical & Electrical skills.

7. Hand & Power Tool skills.

8. Read, Write & Speak English Language.

9. Age between 23 – 45 years

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Nature of work may require working beyond standard working hours.

2. Travel (up to "On Request") within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to AMHEC's sites, yards and branches.

Remuneration package

1. Salaries depend on the qualifications, experience and interview performance. Maximum salary up to 96,000 Kshs.

2. Monthly food allowance of 10,000 Kshs

3. Company provides accommodation, transport, medical insurance, tickets and visas

4. 2 years contract (renewable)

5. Overtime as per company policy

Interview dates

Our tentative interview dates will be late SEPTERMBER 2025 & early OCTOBER 2025.

Interviews will be held in both Mombasa & Nairobi.
