Nature of engagement: Four Months contract

Tumaini Veterinary services is an established Agrovet in Kakamega county selling agrochemicals, livestock, veterinary, and public health solutions. In conjunction with a donor,

they intend to do rapid soil testing and health activity within Kakamega county for a period of four months. They, therefore, wish to engage the services of five competent people to assist them in the activity.

Responsibilities

• Assisting farmers in soil testing.
• Recommending to farmers the best crop to grow based on data from soil analysis.
• Advising farmers on which soil improvement method to use.
• Conducting farmers' training.
• Any other duty that will be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Agronomy, soil technology, or soil sciences.
• Thorough knowledge of soil sampling and testing
• Should be preferably from Kakamega county.
• Knowledge of the local language is a plus.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Ability to ride a motorbike.
