POSITION: INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT
COMPANY: NAIROBI CENTRAL HARDWARE LTD.
LOCATION: BABA DOGO, RUARAKA, NAIROBI
DEPARTMENTS: SALES | PROCUREMENT | ACCOUNT/FINANCE
DURATION: 3–6 MONTHS (AS PER INSTITUTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

3. AVAILABLE DEPARTMENTS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. SALES DEPARTMENT ATTACHMENT
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting sales representatives with customer inquiries and order processing
- Learning product knowledge (tools, hardware, and accessories)
- Supporting telesales and walk-in customer engagement
- Preparing sales quotations and follow-ups
- Updating customer records and sales reports
- Participating in customer service and relationship management
Learning Outcomes:
- Sales techniques and customer handling skills
- Basic CRM and sales reporting
- Product knowledge in the hardware industry
B. PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT ATTACHMENT
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in sourcing and supplier communication
- Supporting purchase order preparation and documentation
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory records
- Assisting in goods receiving and verification processes
- Filing procurement documents and supplier records
Learning Outcomes:
- Procurement and supply chain processes
- Vendor management basics
- Inventory and documentation control
C. ACCOUNTS / FINANCE DEPARTMENT ATTACHMENT
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with data entry for invoices, receipts, and payments
- Supporting accounts receivable and payable records
- Filing and organizing financial documents
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and petty cash records
- Supporting month-end reporting tasks under supervision
Learning Outcomes:
- Basic accounting practices
- Financial documentation and record-keeping
- Exposure to accounting systems and controls
4. ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS (ALL DEPARTMENTS)
- Must be a student or recent graduate pursuing a certificate, diploma, or degree in:
- Sales & Marketing, Business Administration (Sales)
- Procurement & Supply Chain Management
- Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (Accounts)
- Must have an official attachment/industrial training letter from their institution
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn, positive attitude, and professionalism
5. REPORTING & SUPERVISION
- Attachment candidates will report to the Department Supervisor and coordinate closely with the HR Department.
- Performance will be monitored, and an assessment report will be issued upon successful completion.
6. WORKING HOUR
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday : 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
