The Role

We are hiring cold calling specialists to contact UK restaurants and offer them a free 30-day trial of "Reserve with Google" — a feature that adds a booking button directly to their Google Maps and Google Search listing. You will be calling restaurant owners and managers, explaining the value of online reservations through Google, and activating the service on the spot during the call. This is a fast-paced, results-driven role where you sell a genuinely useful product backed by the Google brand. The product is free to try, making this an easier sell than most cold-calling campaigns — but you still need to be persuasive, professional, and quick on your feet.


What You Will Do

  • Make 80–120 outbound calls per day to UK restaurants from provided lead lists
  • Navigate past gatekeepers (staff, hosts) to reach the owner or manager
  • Deliver a structured sales pitch offering a free 30-day trial of Reserve with Google
  • Handle objections confidently and adapt to different conversation styles
  • Activate the service on our reservation platform during the call (~5 minutes per activation)
  • Log all call outcomes accurately in the CRM/tracking system
  • Meet daily and weekly activation targets
  • Participate in team huddles, script reviews, and coaching sessions
  • Provide feedback on script effectiveness, common objections, and lead quality


Requirements

Must-have:

  • Minimum 1 year of outbound cold calling experience in a B2B setting
  • Excellent spoken English with a neutral or British-adjacent accent
  • Experience calling UK or European businesses (not just domestic/African markets)
  • Confident phone manner — comfortable with rejection, high call volumes, and gatekeeper resistance
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet working environment (if remote)
  • Basic computer literacy — ability to navigate web platforms and enter data accurately during calls


Nice-to-have:

  • Experience selling to SMBs
  • Familiarity with the UK restaurant/hospitality industry
  • Previous experience with Google products or reservation platforms (TheFork, OpenTable)
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Track record of exceeding cold-calling targets or KPIs
