Job summary

The job holder will play a critical role in expanding our market presence. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, creating and maintaining a CRM digital system for customer relationship building and maintenance and promoting our travel products and services to individuals and corporate clients.

Job descriptions & requirements

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Actively research and identify potential clients through various channels including cold calling, networking, social media, referrals, tender sites and attending industry events. Maintain a steady pipeline of prospects.

2. Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Develop long-term relationships with clients by understanding their travel needs and preferences. Offer personalized travel solutions and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction before, during, and after the trip.
  • In charge of all the administrative duties and customer care within the allocated area. 

3. Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Drive sales performance by promoting and upselling travel packages, corporate travel solutions, and ancillary services (e.g., insurance, guided tours, visa assistance). Consistently work to exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Ability to carry out analysis of potential markets to develop prospects for new business. 
  • Solicit qualified referrals from existing clients. 
  • Proven ability to achieve set sales target as per company expectations. 
  • Create and support client retention strategies for both new and existing customers. 

4. Proposal Development & Negotiation:

  • Prepare customized proposals and quotations for individual and corporate clients.
  • Lead negotiations to finalize travel deals and close business efficiently while ensuring profitability.

5. Partnership Development:

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with hotels, airlines, travel agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance offerings and gain competitive advantage.

6. Product Knowledge & Presentation:

  • Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products, services, and promotions. Confidently present travel options and itineraries to clients through one-on-one meetings, presentations, or digital communication.

7. Market Research & Trend Analysis:

  • Stay informed on global travel trends, customer behaviour, competitor activities,  and emerging destinations. Use this insight to recommend improvements and inform sales strategies.
  • Ability to conduct marketing surveys and audits. 
  • Analyze competitor activities within the assigned territory and coming up with relevant propositions to ensure continuous customer satisfaction, loyalty and also to maintain company’s brand position within the territory. 

8. Sales and client tracking & Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, sales activities, and deal progress.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on sales performance, market feedback and potential areas of growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities; prepare regular reports for management on performance and market feedback by developing and managing Customer Relationship Management through online digital tools e.g. One drive, Google Docs, Zoho, Click Up etc. 

9. Event Participation & Representation:

  • Represent the company at travel fairs, expos, networking functions, and business forums to enhance brand visibility and attract new clients – Local and International

10. Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure the smooth execution of travel plans and a seamless customer experience.

EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma Certification in business, Marketing, Tourism, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or client relationship management (preferably in the travel industry).
  • Must have strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A passport holder is preferred
  • Knowledge of travel destinations, packages, and visa procedures is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and a strong team player.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Power Point
  • Ability to drive is an added advantage
