Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Manager with a background in eProcurement. This role involves acquisition of new clients for the TenderSure platform for the following procurement activities: ▪ Supplier Prequalification ▪ Request for Quotation ▪ Tender Management ▪ Asset Disposal ▪ Contract Management

  • Minimum Qualification : Bachelors
  • Experience Level : Mid level
  • Experience Length : 4 years

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1.    Developing and executing marketing strategies aimed at winning and retaining new business.

2.    Lead generation and development of pipeline through market research and digital marketing

3.    Persistent follow up of prospects including email, visits and cold calling.

4.    Maintaining and updating the marketing collateral.

5.    Preparation, presentation and system demos to prospective clients.

6.    Liaising with partners in different countries across Africa.

7.    Preparation of proposals for prospective clients.

8.    Generation of client contracts.

9.    Customer relationship management including real-time update of client status.

10. Collaboration with a cross-functional team to gather insights that inform business development strategies.


Experience

1.    Development and execution of sales and marketing strategies.

2.    3-5 years’ experience in selling business software solutions including eProcurement, ERP, HR etc.

3.    Ability to sell across Africa and work with different cultures.

4.    Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams).

5.    Working with a CRM tool.

6.    Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

7.    Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.

8.    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

9.    Conducting presentations and demos to audiences in the C-suite.

10. Teamwork.


Qualifications

1.    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
