Manage daily operations of the school canteen/shop.

- Manage daily operations of the school canteen/shop.
- Ensure timely opening and closing of the canteen.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the canteen area in line with health and safety standards.
- Display products in an attractive and orderly manner.
- Serve students, staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
- Promote available products and suggest alternatives where necessary.
- Ensure a positive customer experience at all times.
- Accurately process cash and mobile payments (e.g., M-Pesa).
- Issue receipts and maintain proper transaction records.
- Balance daily sales and reconcile cash at the end of each day.
- Maintain sales logs and submit reports as required.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stock to the Procurement In-Charge.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock.
- Ensure proper storage of goods, especially perishable items.
- Minimize wastage and prevent stock losses.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and food safety.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety guidelines.
- Diploma in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Previous experience in retail, sales, or a similar role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of sales principles and customer service best practices.
- Experience handling cash transactions and maintaining financial records.
- Familiarity with mobile payment systems (e.g., M-Pesa) is an added advantage.
