Ticketing & Travel Operations Agent
Job summary
Our client, a growing travel and ticketing company in Nairobi, is seeking an experienced Ticketing & Travel Operations Agent to manage airline reservations, ticketing, travel consultancy, and day-to-day travel operations. They must be IATA certified, highly proficient in Amadeus GDS, and experienced in airline ticketing and fare construction.

Key Responsibilities
- Issue, reissue, revalidate, and process refunds for domestic and international airline tickets.
- Manage airline reservations, cancellations, itinerary changes, and schedule updates.
- Construct fares accurately in line with airline and IATA rules.
- Provide clients with professional travel advice on routes, fares, travel requirements, and policies.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and after-sales support.
- Maintain accurate ticketing, invoicing, reconciliation, and operational records.
- Ensure compliance with IATA, BSP, airline, and Tourism Regulatory Authority (TRA) requirements.
- Build strong relationships with clients, airlines, and travel partners.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Tourism Management, Travel & Hospitality, Tourism Consultancy, or a related field.
- Valid IATA certification is mandatory.
- At least 2–3 years’ hands-on experience using Amadeus GDS or a comparable reservation system.
- Practical experience in airline ticketing, fare construction, refunds, reissues, and BSP processes.
- Good knowledge of airline rules, tariffs, and international travel requirements.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and integrity.
