Communications Jobs In Kenya.Communications and Advocacy Manager , Marie Stopes Kenya (MSK).The Communications and Advocacy Manager will report directly to the Country Director and develop and drive a communications and advocacy strategy and activities for MSK to advance its mission. The portfolio will include activities to: Raise awareness, political commitment, and resources for MSK and its priorities.Advocate in collaboration with partners for improved government policy positions legislation and financing for SRHRDevelop and build partnerships to advance work with national and county governments, implementing partners, civil society, private sector, and multilateral and bilateral agencies.The work may include a range of activities such as in-person and virtual events, dynamic social and print media management and engagement, influencing, leadership communications support, partnership collaboration, packaging success stories, message development, website/production, newsletters, etc. in consultation with MSK’s leadership and other partners. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, International Relations, International Development, Social Sciences or a closely related field. Skills Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in designing and executing advocacy and communications strategies and campaigns, preferably in the field of sexual and reproductive health, global health or global development.Experience supporting successful and impactful communication strategies for comparable programs or organizations working with diverse stakeholders (governments, funders, implementation organizations)Ability to think strategically, set priorities and manage concurrent projects, manage time effectively, exercise independent judgment and assume responsibility for seeing projects through to timely and successful completionExperience in writing content for various audiences including researchers, policy makers, donors, online influencers and othersExperience selecting and managing communications contractorsStrong experience in the dynamic/adaptive use of social media to advance a communications strategy/agenda.Up to date on industry trends in communications and knowledge management and able to stay ahead of the latest developments in the industryDeep personal commitment to sexual & reproductive health & rights, including the right to safe abortion for all who need itAbility to be bold, diplomatic and willing to champion a stigmatized issueSelf-motivated; willingness to work independently and as part of a teamGreat interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in multi-cultural work environment and committed to promoting an inclusive culture where everyone is valued and belongsGood photography and filming skillsAbility to work independently and as a team player.Gender awareness and cultural sensitivity.Good time management and problem-solving skills.Works with trustworthiness and integrity and has a clear commitment to MSK’s values and principles; How To Apply:Suitable and qualified internal candidates should email one document combining an application letter and CV to on or before 02nd February 2023.
