Sword is looking for a Content Lead to join the Product Marketing Team. This is a pivotal role for Content + Creative at Sword, as we look to define our offering, launch new products and establish our tone of voice. The ideal candidate is a copy wizard and positioning expert.
What you’ll do
● Produce the highest quality content promoting our products and services
● Craft an accessible and easy-to-activate copy system / messaging framework that supports Sword across all functions and stages of the marketing funnel
● Apply research and data to help build an effective, scalable content strategy and calendar across channels
● Collaborate with designers, product managers and marketing managers to champion the Sword brand voice
● Create compelling campaigns and stories across audiences
● Serve as a brand steward and content liaison across different teams and touch-points within the organization
● Lead video and photography productions
● Develop video concepts to help our members succeed with programs, whether that be through mental health & mindfulness techniques, “How-to” video, motivational content, or short form Story-style content with actionable tactics to help you get the most from your Sword program
● Identify new opportunities to test and iterate on our existing content formats
● Work with the analytics and insights team to build dashboards to measure the success of content, and help prioritize which content types deserve further investment
What you’ll bring
● 6+ years of experience in content management and copywriting
● Out of this world verbal and written communication skills
● Demonstrated experience in conceiving fresh and appealing ideas for new content that establish or support Sword’s brand identity
● Skilled in creating content that targets a specific audience and meets company objectives and quarterly team OKRs
● Ability to communicate effectively across an organization, including other senior level team members
● A perpetual sense of curiosity and ability to thrive in a start-up environment and quickly shift and adapt to an evolving environment
● A critical eye for great design with an ability to clearly communicate and inspire your team and partners.
We’d love to see:
● Experience with Adobe Suite as a means to liaise with designers
● Experience producing videos and working with outside agencies
● Knowledge of SEO best practices to optimize articles and increase visibility
● Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
● BS in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or relevant field
