BRAC International is now seeking a dynamic Director of Education, as its global lead to drive the strategy and growth of the education and early childhood development (ECD) portfolio, ensuring quality programme implementation and oversight across all education-related activities across BI. The role will fundamentally champion cross-sector alignment, fostering a holistic approach to programme development with a focus on achieving impact at scale. The Director of Education will also be instrumental in fostering relationships beyond the organisation to support policy, advocacy and fundraising ambitions. The Director of Education will sit in BIâs Programme Team, and report to the Director of Programmes.
The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in global education programmes, and ideally early childhood development, most likely gained in an international development setting. You will exhibit technical excellence and credibility in education and ECD programme design and implementation, a strong track record of forming and leveraging networks in the space and the communication skills to represent BRAC International at the global level.
The next Director will bring recognised management skills gained in a multi-cultural setting, the ability to grow internal capacity and motivate teams to deliver in a highly innovative and mission-driven environment.
A strategic, yet hands-on leader, the ideal candidate must display a strong commitment to BRACâs mission and values, including promoting Southern leadership, and you will ideally bring experience of living and working in the Global South.

The role is preferred to be based out of Kenya or one of BRAC Internationalâs operating countries with the ability to work across global time zones. The salary of the role will be commensurate with the seniority of the position and dependent on the location.Â

Longlisted candidates will be invited to interview with Perrett Laver in late-Feb/early March and the Selection Panel will subsequently meet to decide upon a final shortlist for the post in mid-March, following which, interviews with BRAC will take place in late March and early April.
