Join BRAC International to create opportunities for people to realise their potential. A Force for Hope.

Are you passionate about transforming lives? BRAC International, a leading non-profit organisation, is on a mission to empower people and communities facing poverty, illiteracy, disease, and social injustice. Its vision is a world free from exploitation and discrimination, where everyone has the opportunity to realise their potential. It design proven, scalable solutions that equip people with the support and confidence they need to achieve their potential.

BRAC was founded in Bangladesh in 1972 and over the last five decades has grown to become one of the worldâs largest non-governmental organisations (NGOs), reaching over 100 million people. It started the first international operation by venturing into Afghanistan in 2002, building on lessons from its work in Bangladesh to support a nation devastated by war. The Director of Education will also be instrumental in fostering relationships beyond the organisation to support policy, advocacy and fundraising ambitions. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in global education programmes, and ideally early childhood development, most likely gained in an international development setting. You will exhibit technical excellence and credibility in education and ECD programme design and implementation, a strong track record of forming and leveraging networks in the space and the communication skills to represent BRAC International at the global level.

The next Director will bring recognised management skills gained in a multi-cultural setting, the ability to grow internal capacity and motivate teams to deliver in a highly innovative and mission-driven environment.

A strategic, yet hands-on leader, the ideal candidate must display a strong commitment to BRACâs mission and values, including promoting Southern leadership, and you will ideally bring experience of living and working in the Global South.

To apply, please submit a CV and covering letter, detailing how you fulfil the role description and personal specification quoting reference 7064. The deadline for applications is 9am BST Monday 19th February 2024.
