DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Security Planning & Strategy
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the farm’s security policies and procedures tailored to agricultural operations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in infrastructure, equipment, livestock, and crop storage areas.
- Plan and execute security drills, emergency response simulations, and disaster preparedness initiatives.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise a team of security officers, assigning daily duties and ensuring coverage across the 100-acre farm.
- Recruit, train, and mentor security personnel to ensure high standards of professionalism, vigilance, and responsiveness.
- Maintain attendance, performance, and conduct records of all security staff.
- Provide guidance on conflict resolution and ensure compliance with labor regulations and company policies.
Operational Security Management
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols throughout the farm, including high-risk zones such as crop storage, livestock areas, and perimeter fences.
- Monitor and operate CCTV systems, access control devices, and other security technology to detect and prevent unauthorized access.
- Respond immediately to security incidents, theft, fire, medical emergencies, or natural disasters.
- Coordinate with local police, emergency services, and private security networks when needed.
Asset & Infrastructure Protection
- Safeguard farm machinery, vehicles, fuel storage, irrigation systems, and other high- value assets.
- Ensure proper lighting, fencing, and alarm systems are operational and regularly maintained.
- Investigate and report breaches, theft, or vandalism and implement preventive measures.
Administrative & Reporting Duties
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly security reports, documenting incidents, patrol activities, and security system maintenance.
- Use computer systems to log data, generate reports, and track security performance metrics.
- Prepare incident reports for management and provide recommendations for security improvements.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Security Management, Criminology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in security operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Prior experience in the military, police, or reputable private security firm is mandatory.
- Proven track record in managing security teams effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer literate with experience operating CCTV systems, security software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies.
- Valid motorcycle and/or vehicle driving license.
