Job descriptions & requirements

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new customers, including feed millers, agro-vets, distributors, and large-scale farmers.
  • Promote and sell animal feed raw materials such as maize germ, soya meal, wheat bran, fish meal, premixes, and additives.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets in volume and value.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, contracts, and customer orders.
  • Conduct regular field visits to customers and prospects.


Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.

Provide product information, pricing updates, and technical support where required.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and payment follow-ups professionally.

Collect market feedback and customer insights to support product and pricing decisions.


Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market demand.
  • Identify new market opportunities and emerging customer needs.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports including visit reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales documentation.


Order Management & Collections

  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Follow up on deliveries and proof of delivery (PODs).
  • Support credit control by ensuring adherence to credit terms and assisting with collections.


Compliance & Brand Representation

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and ethical sales practices.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Participate in trade fairs, farmer days, and industry events when required.
