<p>The Fresh Produce & Ripening Officer will be responsible for managing the quality, handling, and ripening processes of fresh produce, ensuring optimal product condition from sourcing to dispatch.</p>

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee receiving, inspection, and grading of fresh produce
- Manage ripening processes (e.g., bananas, avocados) to meet market demand
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Implement proper storage, handling, and inventory management practices
- Track and reduce post-harvest losses and wastage
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams
- Maintain accurate records of stock, quality checks, and ripening cycles
- Ensure hygiene and safety standards are adhered to at all times
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Science, or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in fresh produce handling or ripening operations
- Strong understanding of post-harvest handling and quality control practices
- Experience with ripening techniques and cold chain management is an added advantage
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance requirements
