Lab Technician

The Lab Technician is responsible for preparing for and clearing up the laboratory before, after and during science lessons in the Senior School Laboratory.

 Duties & Responsibilities

Assemble and adjust tests and laboratory equipment for experiments and procedures Maintain inventory of chemicals and equipment. Liaise with Head of Department to orders for chemicals and lab equipment replacements Ensure equipment and solutions are in place in good time as per teacher's specifications. Ensuring that equipment is functioning properly and is ready to use for science labs Ensuring that the right materials are available for lessons. Work closely with students to explain the experiments and demonstrate how to use equipment as necessary Proper storing of solutions and stock management

The requirements

At least a Diploma in a related field At least 2 years of experience in a similar role Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Excellent written and oral communication skills
