TEACHER – SOILA MAASAI GIRLS CENTRE IN SUSWA KAJIADO WEST

Job Title: Teacher

Reports To: Head Teacher

Job Location: In Suswa Kajiado West

Duties and Responsibility for the Role:

· Implement the CBC curriculum for our Primary and Junior School Sections in your assigned respective subject areas.

· Develop lesson plans aligned with CBC objectives that engage and motivate pupils

· Ensure that the core competencies and values of the CBC curriculum are instilled in the learners.

· Maintain and update all records pertaining to teaching subject areas. The records referred here to include Schemes of Work, Lesson Preparation Books, Assessment Record books, Project Record books, Mark books and Records of Work books.

· You will attend and participate in all staff and departmental meetings, all forums that might be organized either in-house or external with the objective of formulating, modifying or adopting Syllabi, all Conferences, Seminars or Discussion groups relevant to teaching subject areas.

· Initiate and organize co-curricular activities that would enrich the pupils’ intellectual development.

· Instil and encourage correct social and moral values that are aligned with biblical teaching and school ethos.

· Always ensure the safety of the students.

· Any other duty assigned by the School Management

Qualifications and Experience

· PTE, Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree Holders in Education

· Valid TSC Certificate

· Two to three (2-3) years proven work experience

· Familiarity and Experience with the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC)

· Proficiency in teaching the following subjects English, Mathematics and Science, Home Science and CRE.

· Good Computer Skills, Information Systems, MS Office and Databases
