Key Roles & Responsibilities:
The TVET Manager/Principal shall provide strategic leadership and oversee the institution’s operations. Duties include but are not limited to:
a) Implementing the institution’s mission and vision.
b) Preparing and managing training budgets.
c) Develop and implement academic and institutional policies.
d) Promoting, advocating, and strengthening industry and TVET linkages.
e) Facilitating training, coaching, and mentoring of staff.
f) Managing training plans and schedules.
g) Performing overall TVET institution administration.
h) Managing internal quality assurance of competency-based assessments.
i) Constituting and operationalizing institutional committees.
j) Incorporating innovation and continuous improvement in institutional management.
k) Represent the College in external engagements and partnerships.
l) Safeguard the reputation of the College by upholding Christian values
m) Ensuring equity, equality, and inclusivity in the workplace while stimulating active staff participation.
n) Ensure financial accountability and effective resource management.
o) Acts as the Primary liaison between the Board and College staff, communicating and interpreting Board policies and directives and ensuring their effective implementation across all departments
p) Spearhead the marketing of the College’s programs.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- A Master’s degree in education, TVET Management, Business Administration, Educational Leadership, or a closely related field.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Business-related discipline.
- At least 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in a TVET institution, college, or similar education organization.
- Good understanding of Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET), TVET policies and regulations, and labor market trends.
- Proven experience managing institutional accreditation, quality assurance, and compliance inspections.
- Strong leadership, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to Christian values and ethical leadership.
- Strong financial management and strategic planning skills.
