Job Title: Logistics Officer

Reports To: Logistics Coordinator / Manager
Gross Salary: Kshs 70K - 80K
Our client is a leading provider of advanced drainage and water management solutions.
They specialize in designing and delivering innovative systems for wastewater treatment and water treatment applications, ensuring sustainability and efficiency in every project.
Position Overview: The Logistics Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating all logistics operations, including warehouse management, inventory control, product labeling, local transportation, and compliance with regional requirements. This role ensures smooth flow of goods, accurate stock management, and adherence to operational standards across East Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including entry and exit of goods.
- Ensure proper packaging and storage of products within the warehouse.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company standards.
Inventory Control
- Conduct monthly stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excesses promptly.
- Implement and maintain accurate inventory tracking systems.
Product Handling
- Supervise product labeling and packaging processes.
- Ensure all products meet company and regulatory labeling requirements.
Transportation & Distribution
- Coordinate local transportation for timely delivery of goods.
- Optimize routes and schedules to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Compliance & Documentation
- Handle COO (Certificate of Origin) and COC (Certificate of Conformity) for East Africa.
- Ensure all documentation for local PO (Purchase Orders) is accurate and complete.
- Maintain records of all logistics activities for audit and reporting purposes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and warehouse management.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and ERP software.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with East African trade compliance and documentation.
