Purpose of the Role
Our Client is looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager to lead our local marketing activities and help grow our impact across rural and semi-rural communities.
This role is ideal for someone who knows how to turn a strong product and real customer stories into clear, emotional, and effective marketing that drives awareness, leads, sales support, and brand trust.
Key Responsibilities:
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning and executing marketing activities across Kenya, including:
- Build and manage local marketing plans to support sales growth.
- Develop strong storytelling around customer impact, savings, clean cooking, bio-fertilizer, and sustainability.
- Create and manage content for social media, digital campaigns, field marketing, customer stories, videos, posters, and sales materials.
- Work closely with the sales team to create campaigns that generate leads and improve conversion.
- Support launches in new regions, hubs, and partnerships.
- Manage local agencies, designers, photographers, videographers, and media suppliers when needed.
- Track campaign performance and improve based on results.
- Ensure all marketing materials are clear, consistent, and aligned with the HomeBiogas brand.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, content, or brand-related roles.
- Strong storytelling and content creation skills.
- Experience managing social media, campaigns, and marketing materials.
- Ability to work closely with sales teams and understand field realities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Practical, hands-on mindset with ability to execute fast.
- Good project management skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent English and Swahili
Advantage
- Experience in B2C marketing.
- Experience in agri-business, rural marketing, renewable energy, climate-tech, clean cooking, or similar sectors.
- Experience working with field sales teams or community-based campaigns.
- Experience creating video content, customer testimonials, or impact stories.
