- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on mechanical systems and production machinery
- Diagnose faults in hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and implement effective solutions
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Analyze production processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize machine performance and throughput
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, TPM)
- Design, modify, and improve mechanical components and systems using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Participate in installation, commissioning, and upgrading of machinery and equipment
- Provide rapid response to mechanical breakdowns and production issues
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges
- Ensure all mechanical operations comply with safety standards and regulations
- Promote a strong safety culture within the plant
- Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for equipment servicing and procurement
- Evaluate and recommend new machinery or upgrades
- Support engineering projects from concept through implementation
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in steel, roofing, or fabrication industries is highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Hands-on experience with industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
