Job Purpose
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing mechanical equipment and production machinery to ensure optimal performance, minimal downtime, and smooth production operations within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and ensure timely repairs
• Inspect equipment to identify faults and recommend improvements
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery
• Maintain maintenance records and service reports
• Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards in the production environment
• Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime
Requirements
• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2–3 years’ experience in maintenance within FMCG
• Must have worked in flour milling, bakery, bread production industry
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Ability to work in shifts and under pressure
