Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC-controlled production systems to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimal downtime, and efficient manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial automation systems, particularly Bühler automation platforms, and possess strong technical knowledge of PLC programming, process control, and electrical automation within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain PLC-controlled production equipment to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.
- Program, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC systems, including Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Schneider controllers.
- Diagnose and resolve automation, electrical, and control system faults to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Bühler automation systems and utilize WinCos for process monitoring and control.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Maintain and optimize Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), industrial communication networks, sensors, actuators, servo systems, and process instrumentation.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated production equipment.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve system reliability, process efficiency, and equipment performance.
- Support installation, commissioning, and upgrading of automation and control systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, system documentation, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, quality procedures, and engineering best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment.
- Practical experience working with Bühler automation systems.
- Working knowledge of WinCos.
- Hands-on experience programming, configuring, and troubleshooting Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Schneider PLCs.
- Strong understanding of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), industrial communication protocols, HMI, SCADA, sensors, actuators, servo systems, and industrial instrumentation.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and maintaining automated process control systems.
