DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning & Implementation
- Lead end-to-end project management from design, budgeting, planning, execution, to evaluation.
- Oversee the implementation of ICT-driven trade and customs modernization projects.
- Coordinate the assessment and upgrade of existing ICT systems to support digital trade facilitation.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with government agencies, international development partners, private sector actors, and technical experts.
- Facilitate high-level dialogues and consultations with customs, trade facilitation institutions, and ICT agencies.
- Represent the organization in regional and international forums on trade and ICT systems.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Design and apply project performance indicators and M&E frameworks.
- Prepare high-quality reports, policy briefs, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Ensure compliance with donor and organizational standards.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, consultants, and technical advisors.
- Mentor junior staff and provide capacity-building support to implementing partners.
- Promote a results-oriented, collaborative, and innovative team culture.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- MBA in research and statistics, ICT, commerce, Business management or related field
- 10 years’ experience in ICT systems assessment, digital trade facilitation or customs modernization
- Strong background in trade policy, ICT, Economics
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
