Sales Associate (Retail Stores)

Job Purpose
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of our esteemed client in the Retail industry, is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Associates to join their retail store team. The Sales Associates will represent play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales, and maintaining high store standards. This role is dynamic and customer-centric, requiring active selling, excellent communication, strong personal integrity, and a professional presence.

Key Responsibilities
• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive assistance throughout their visit.
• Actively sell products to meet and exceed individual and store sales targets.
• Engage customers confidently, share product knowledge, and recommend related items (upselling & cross-selling).
• Maintain the store’s appearance, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and appealing visual standards.
• Receive, check, count, organize, and handle stock accurately.
• Follow procedures for processing sales, including invoicing and issuing receipts.
• Report inventory discrepancies and follow internal reporting instructions.
• Consistently represent the company brand with professionalism, honesty, and respect.

Qualifications
✓ Experience in retail sales is preferred.
✓ Hospitality or service experience may be considered if excellent customer engagement is shown
✓ Strong communication skills are essential.
✓ Willing to upsell and cross-sell to enhance customer value.
✓ Able to count stock accurately and follow stock procedures.
✓ Competent in receiving, checking, and organizing inventory.
