Position Summary:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and providing technical solutions tailored to the needs of clients in the sugar, tea, and cement industries. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge and sales acumen to bridge the gap between engineering solutions and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business growth and revenue targets.
Identify new business opportunities within the sugar, tea, and cement industries.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to customers.
Collaborate with the engineering team to design and recommend appropriate solutions.
Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with existing and potential clients.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with customers.
Provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and opportunities in CRM systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (3–5 years) in technical sales, preferably in heavy engineering, manufacturing, or industrial spare parts.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial equipment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to understand and translate technical requirements into business solutions.
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM tools.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
Number of new clients acquired in sugar, tea, and cement sectors.
Customer retention and satisfaction levels.
Value and volume of quotations converted into sales.
Market share growth within target industries.
Note: Salary expected will range from 50k to 70k depending on experience
