JOB TITLE: SEWING MACHINE TECHNICIAN
NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME
SALARY: KSHS.30,000
JOB LOCATION: NAIROBI- CBD
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine Repair & Maintenance
- Diagnose faults and repair all types of sewing machines, including domestic, industrial, manual, and digital/computerized models.
- Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and machine inspections.
- Replace defective parts and ensure machines are restored to optimal working condition.
- Test repaired machines to confirm proper functionality and performance.
Technical Support
- Provide technical advice and guidance to customers on machine operation and maintenance.
- Respond to service requests and troubleshoot machine-related issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.
Workshop & Operations
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and organized.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and recommend replenishment when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Support branch operations by attending to repair needs across Nairobi, Thika, and Ngong branches when required.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Certificate, Diploma, or relevant technical training in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in repairing and servicing sewing machines.
- Strong knowledge of domestic, industrial, manual, and computerized sewing machines.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately.
- Experience working with different sewing machine brands is an added advantage.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
