Job Description/Requirements
Reporting to the Finance Officer, the Assistant Accountant will:
Invoice & Billing Management
Prepare, analyze, post, and manage customer invoices.
Handle Accounts Receivable and Payable, process invoices, and issue bills.
Review invoices against purchase orders and flag discrepancies.
Research and resolve customer billing and payment issues.
Financial Recording & Reporting
Verify and record sales transactions, including taxes and commissions.
Prepare client accounting statements and management reports (expense, revenue, trial balance, etc.).
Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of revenues, petty cash, and bank ledgers.
Support month-end closing activities.
Payroll & Statutory Compliance
Prepare and compute payroll.
File monthly statutory returns including PAYE, VAT, MRI, NHIF, NSSF, and others.
Liaise with SHA, KRA, and NSSF staff to resolve system issues and discrepancies.
Cash & Bank Operations
Manage check transactions and payments.
Raise petty cash vouchers and oversee bank deposits.
Ensure confidentiality and security of bank accounts.
Audit & Documentation
Assist auditors during reviews and provide required documentation.
Maintain organized filing systems, including scanning receipts into cloud storage.
