Key Responsibilities;
● Prepare and maintain accurate books of accounts (general ledger, journals,
reconciliations).
● Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
● Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
● Reconcile bank statements, mobile money accounts, and loan accounts.
● Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
● Ensure compliance with tax obligations (VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, Corporation
Tax).
● Prepare and submit statutory returns to KRA and other regulators.
● Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
● Monitor operational costs and recommend cost-control measures.
● Work closely with operations and credit teams to ensure accurate loan and transaction
reporting.
● Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
● Assist in strengthening internal controls and financial processes.
Key Deliverables;
● Accurate Monthly Management Accounts delivered within agreed timelines.
● Timely Tax Compliance – all statutory returns filed accurately and on time.
● Clean Bank & System Reconciliations completed monthly with zero unresolved variances.
● Up-to-date AR & AP Reports with clear aging analysis.
● Audit-ready Financial Records with minimal audit queries.
● Budget vs Actual Reports with actionable variance explanations.
● Improved Cost Controls through monitoring and reporting of expenses.
● Proper Financial Documentation & Filing System maintained at all times
