Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities

  1. ·       Develop and execute trade marketing plans aligned with sales targets
  2. ·       Manage in-store visibility (POSM, merchandising, shelving, planograms)
  3. ·       Coordinate activations (roadshows, sampling, promotions, seasonal campaigns)
  4. ·       Build and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers
  5. ·       Monitor competitor activity and pricing in-market
  6. ·       Track stock movement, availability, and out-of-stock risks
  7. ·       Oversee deployment of branding materials (gondolas, signage, uniforms, etc.)
  8. ·       Work with agencies on execution and ensure ROI on activations
  9. ·       Manage trade budgets and ensure cost efficiency
  10. ·       Provide weekly field reports with actionable insights

 

KPIs/Performance Metrics

  1. ·       Sales growth (sell-in and sell-out)
  2. ·       Numeric and weighted distribution
  3. ·       Shelf share and visibility compliance
  4. ·       Activation ROI
  5. ·       Stock availability/reduced stock-outs
  6. ·       Execution timelines vs plan

 

Qualifications & Experience

  1. ·       Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  2. ·       2–5 years experience in FMCG trade marketing or sales
  3. ·       Strong understanding of retail and informal trade (dukas, kiosks, mini-marts)
  4. ·       Experience working with distributors and field teams
