Trade Marketer
Job summary
Drive in-market execution, visibility, and sell-out of FMCG brands through retail, wholesale, and informal trade channels. Own the last-mile growth agenda.
Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities
- · Develop and execute trade marketing plans aligned with sales targets
- · Manage in-store visibility (POSM, merchandising, shelving, planograms)
- · Coordinate activations (roadshows, sampling, promotions, seasonal campaigns)
- · Build and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers
- · Monitor competitor activity and pricing in-market
- · Track stock movement, availability, and out-of-stock risks
- · Oversee deployment of branding materials (gondolas, signage, uniforms, etc.)
- · Work with agencies on execution and ensure ROI on activations

Manage
trade budgets and ensure cost efficiency
- · Provide weekly field reports with actionable insights
KPIs/Performance Metrics
- · Sales growth (sell-in and sell-out)
- · Numeric and weighted distribution
- · Shelf share and visibility compliance

Qualifications & Experience
- · Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- · 2–5 years experience in FMCG trade marketing or sales
- · Strong understanding of retail and informal trade (dukas, kiosks, mini-marts)
- · Experience working with distributors and field teams
