Veterinary Doctor - Oyugis

We are seeking a skilled and passionate veterinarian to join our team of animal healthcare professionals. As a veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing quality medical care to a wide variety of animals, including pets, livestock, and exotic species. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting physical examinations and diagnosing illnesses in a wide range of animals
• Developing treatment plans and prescribing medications as necessary
• Performing surgeries and other medical procedures
• Providing preventative care and promoting wellness through routine check-ups, vaccinations, and other preventative measures
• Interacting with clients to explain diagnoses and treatment options, and to provide advice on animal health and welfare
• Maintaining accurate medical records and communicating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Maintaining knowledge of current veterinary practices and advancements in animal healthcare

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state
• Strong diagnostic and treatment skills, including proficiency in surgical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
• A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in an environment with animals of various sizes and temperaments.
