Accountant
Job summary
We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring timely compliance with all statutory tax obligations.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- File statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE, NSSF, NHIF/SHIF, Housing Levy, and corporate tax returns within prescribed timelines.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and tax consultants when necessary.
- Maintain proper filing systems for financial and tax records.
- Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA(K) qualification or equivalent professional certification required.
- Experience in accounting and tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and statutory filing requirements
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
