Terms of Employment: Permanent Remuneration
Salary Scale: House Allowance: Commuter Allowance:
Kshs. 87,360 - Kshs.121,430 p.m. Kshs. 45,000 p.m. Kshs. 12,000 p.m.

Requirement for Appointment
i. Served for at least seven (7) years at a middle management level in the field of Human Resource Management in the Public Service in Job Group M and above;
ii. Bachelors and Master's degrees in Human Resource Management, Public/Business Administration, Industrial Relations or comparable qualification from a recognized university;
iii. A Senior Management Course from a recognized institution;
iv. IHRM Membership v. Proficiency in Computer Applications;
vi. Excellent Report Writing Skills and Writing of Minutes;
vii. Ability to generate new ideas for performance improvement and results;
viii. Ability to work under minimum supervision;
ix. Demonstrated high degree of professional competence, administrative capabilities and initiative in the management of Human Resource Management functions.

Duties and responsibilities
The Assistant Director, HRM will be responsible to the Secretary, County Public Service Board in performing the following duties:
i. Organizing Human Resource Audit inspections and preparation of Audit reports;
ii. Monitoring implementation of the County Public Service Board's delegated powers and overseeing follow up of implementation of the Board's decisions;
iii. Investigating and reporting on Human Resource Management complaints and carrying out ad hoc investigations on issues that require urgent attention from the Board;
iv. Preparing reports for Discipline Committee and agenda for the Board;
v. Liaising with Director HRM on discipline issues; and
vi. Offering guidance and supervision to the officers below him/her.
