Job summary
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for day-to-day management decisions and providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial stewardship.

- Provide strategic leadership and implement the Sacco’s approved strategic and business plans
- Advise the Board on policy, governance, and performance matters
- Oversee financial management, and statutory compliance
- Drive business growth, product innovation, and member experience
- Lead digital transformation, ICT security, and operational efficiency
- Strengthen risk management, internal controls, and audit compliance
- Build and sustain a high-performance, ethical, and accountable workforce
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Master’s degree and CPA(K) qualification will be an added advantage
- Professional organization membership in good standing (mandatory)
- At least 7 years’ relevant experience, including 3 years in senior management or CEO-level role, preferably within the co-operative or financial services sector
- Strong knowledge of Deposit-Taking SACCO regulations and SASRA guidelines
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
- Strategic leadership and change management capability
- Strong financial, analytical, and decision-making skills
- High integrity, ethical leadership, and accountability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
