Uncover is a two-year-old startup, born in a global incubator and boasting two rounds of successful fundraising and rapid traction in two markets. The startup currently plays in the consumer goods sector, with products and digital content geared towards the female market in Kenya, their pilot country. They plan to expand swiftly in geography, in products/services (including tech), and of course, in team.
Their brand is progressive, pioneering, client-led, communal, wise, and approachable. The company culture is goal-driven, self improvement oriented, out-of-box thinking promoting, collaborative, compassionate, and hard-working.
About the role
They are seeking a wildly creative, passionate content creator, brand builder and social media support team member. As a Community, Content and amp; Brand Assistant, your ultimate goal is to contribute to building their community following and drive awareness, engagement and love for the brand. You will be expected to create high quality content, source user-generated content creators, work with influencer, and strategize on how to drive brand awareness, following, and love.
What do you need to be considered successful?
â Create fun, innovative, educational, bold and engaging TikTok and Instagram videos to drive up following and engagement rates on Uncoverâs key social channels
â Source high quality user-generated content creators to work with and manage their output creation, incentives and contracts
â Be in touch with social media trends, conversations, hashtags, and challenges to ensure that Uncover is participating in a way that brings out the brand values and identity.
â Identify influencers for Uncover to work with and strategize
â Source photographers and videographers for professional shoots and execute successful shoots to create high quality content.
â Design and create high quality graphic posts for social media and simple website banners.
â Collaborate with the brand team to develop content strategies that drive brand awareness and love (in Nigeria) in the most creative, bold and innovative way
â Develop compelling narratives that convey the uniqueness of Uncover's products, while emphasizing their commitment to empowering women on the continent.
â Create engaging community activities in Nigeria such as masterclasses, etc.

Your role here is pivotal in building brand identity, engaging with the community, and creating compelling content, which directly impacts brand recognition, customer acquisition, and revenue generation.
Biggest problem solving duty on
Your duties will include video creation, brand brainstorming, influencer/content creator support, analyzing engagement data, and identifying trends in customer interactions
What should you have done in your career?
â An eye for design to ensure brand values and identity are embodied through social media
â Proficiency in photography and videography, with experience in shooting and editing high-quality content.
â Ability to design good quality social media posts and website banners (can be through Canva vs. Illustrator/Adobe)
â Creativity and a keen eye for aesthetics.
â Exceptional storytelling and content creation skills.
â Knowledge of social media platforms and trends.
â Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
â Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
â High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
â Passion for skincare and an understanding of the beauty industry.
â Education to Bachelorâs level required
â 2 years+ work experience
