Job Description/Requirements
- Hold overall responsibility for all food coming from the grill.
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Ensure all kitchen sections have adequate grilled products (meats & vegetables).
- Maintain the food appearance and as well high quality of the food.
- Ensure high level of performance, guest satisfaction and profitability. (i.e. making sure the right order is placed as per the docket.)
- Keep up to date with the recipe changes that are made by the Kitchen Manager
- Ensure proper labeling and refreshing of the containers, ensuring that the quality of products being used are the best and expiry dates are checked every day.
- Managing the section in terms of mis - en - place and the missing items and any other issues that may happen.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Maintain the food appearance, high quality of the pizza, focaccia and lasagna.
- Ensuring high level of performance, guest satisfaction and profitability. (i.e. making sure the right order is placed as per the docket.)
- Keeping up to date with the recipe changes made briefed by the Kitchen Manager.
- Ensure proper labeling and refreshing of the containers, ensuring that the quality of products being used are the best and expiry dates are checked every day.
- Ensure handling and storage of pizza dough is up to standard.
- Comply with standards of service and assist in all sections. Daily
- Ensure food and all products are prepared according to the recipe book. Daily
- Making sure you grill the meat orders according to the customer’s specifications. (example: rare, medium rare, medium and well-done e.t.c)
- Ensure vegetables and potatoes are cut and blanched according to the correct procedure.
- Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, coordinate food production schedules and ensure the highest level of food quality, taste and presentation.
- Ensure proper methods of food preparation, handling and storage of sensitive products under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager or Checker.
- Always check availability and freshness of Pandemi bread. When needed
- Consistency in grooming, appearance and uniform standards. When needed
- Establish and require strict adherence to health department and food handling guidelines.
- To ensure that portions are correct and the food plating is according to the recipe book and the standards.
- Communicate and coordinate the timing with other members of kitchen staff.
- Must ensure that the expiry dates on all items in the kitchen is checked and expired items taken off the shelves at all times.
- Ensure all safety measures are taken seriously to safeguard safety of the colleagues and yourself too.
- Perform any duties that may be assigned by Management from time to time.
