Job Description/Requirements
Main tasks and responsibilities
Coordination, Planning, And Supervision
Ensure timely and effective implementation of CSEA interventions in accordance
with donor requirements at the LIP level.
Develop quarterly and monthly work plans with CSEA Assistants to guide the
implementation of project activities and prudent resource utilization.
Organize and coordinate quarterly sub-county meetings and monthly meetings at the
LIP level with CSEA Assistants and facilitators to review project progress, address
emerging issues, and plan subsequent actions.
Coordinate support supervision activities with CSEA Assistants to ensure S4T
groups and AGYW ( Adolescent girls and young women)receive adequate support.
Communicate continuously with the Project Manager on project progress,
challenges, and support needed to achieve project objectives.
Ensure all activities are conducted in a manner that enhances community ownership,
participation, and contribution for sustainability.
Stakeholder Engagement, Linkages, And Advocacy
Continuously map stakeholders such as institutions and private sector service
providers for economic empowerment opportunities for AGYW.
Develop working relationships and linkages with key stakeholders including
government officials, private sector service providers, community leaders, and
AGYW to promote ES(Economic strengething )initiatives.
Organize and participate in sub-county support supervision by various line ministries.
Service Delivery To AGYW
Work with the Project Manager and CSEA Assistants to conduct needs/resource
mapping/assessment for AGYW.
Ensure placement of AGYW for ES services as per the AVSI WINGS Plus pathway.
Ensure economic strengthening layering of AGYW.
Collaborate with County departments (e.g., MOE, MOT) and private sector actors
to advocate for linkage of AGYW to GOK services.
Create networks, linkages, and ensure bi-directional referrals for AGYW to quality,
need-based services using all designed referral tools.
Work with GOK and county government departments to offer extension services to
register and strengthen the capacity of S4T (Saving for transformation)groups.
Monitoring, Evaluation, And Knowledge Management
Collect, validate, analyse, and track data to inform programming and project impact
at the LIP level.
Participate in project outcome analysis in reference to TOC.
Continuously update/document LIP-based outcome findings as per the project's
Theory of Change and Log frame.
Conduct structured support supervisions and spot checks on AGYW and S4T
groups to ensure quality service delivery.
Plan quarterly feedback sessions and organize action reflection sessions with
stakeholders, AGYW, partners, and caregivers.
Participate in monthly and quarterly data review meetings to ensure effective data
entry, analysis, reporting, and accountability for results.
Review data submitted by CSEA Assistants to ensure accuracy before entry.
Conduct periodic context analysis to adapt implementation changes.
Prepare monthly and quarterly project performance reports.
Education
Essential Requirements
A Bachelorsdegree in social sciences (e.g., Community Development, Social Work)
Minimum Experience
At least three (5) years of experience in implementing USG-funded programs and
economic strengthening.
Experience in implementing USG approved economic strengthening model for youth
(WINGS Plus) is an added advantage.
Experience in implementing economic strengthening model with demonstrated
graduation of participants is an added advantage.
Required Skills And Experiences
Competencies and Skills:
Proficiency in English and Swahili (oral and written communication skills).
High level of integrity and respect.
Computer literacy in MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to cultivate constructive relationships.
Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge through formal and informal training.
Strong interpersonal and public relation skills and ability to work with diverse
backgrounds.
Good presentation and writing skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
Strong coordination skills and team orientation.
Good understanding of relevant county line ministries.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal attributes.
