Job summary

General Purpose Our client, a medical clinic, is seeking to hire a Customer Experience & Billing Assistant who will be responsible for managing patient interactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth billing processes.

Gross Salary: Ksh. 35,000

Duties &Responsibilities

 Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.

 Handle patient registration, appointment scheduling, and check-ins/check-outs.

 Manage in coming calls, inquiries, and direct them appropriately.

 Maintain and update patient information in the hospital management system (HMS).

 Coordinate with clinical staff to manage patient flow efficiently.

 Maintain cleanliness and orderliness at the reception area.

 Generate and process patient bills accurately.

 Verify insurance details and eligibility; coordinate with insurance providers.

 Collect co-payments and other charges; issue receipts.

 Assist in preparing and submitting insurance claims.

 Follow up on pending bills, outstanding payments, and denied claims.

 Maintain financial records and prepare daily cash reports.

 Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and data privacy norms.


Requirements & Qualifications

 A Degree in a Business-related course.

 Minimumof3yearsofexperience in front office or customer service.

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant computer applications.

 Ability to handle high call volumes and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

 Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

 Empathetic and patient attitude when dealing with customer concerns.

 Strong active listening skills and attention to detail.

 Ability to adapt to changing customer demands and company policies.
