Electrical and Electronics Trainer (MERU)

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons on electrical installation, electronics, and related technical areas.

• Conduct hands-on practical sessions, guiding students in wiring, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting.

• Ensure all training activities are conducted safely and align with current technical standards.

• Assess student progress through assignments, practical evaluations, and examinations.

• Maintain and manage electrical tools, training equipment, and workshop safety standards.

• Prepare and update training materials to reflect modern technology and practices.

• Support students during projects, innovations, and technical assessments.

• Collaborate with the academic team to ensure curriculum relevance and quality delivery.

• Maintain accurate attendance, performance, and assessment records.

• Mentor students and prepare them for industry attachment and certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.

• KSTVET Certification or equivalent qualification (added advantage).

• Diploma in Pedagogy or Technical Education is an added advantage.

• Proven experience in teaching or training electrical/electronics students.

• Strong practical knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and safety protocols.

• Excellent communication, class management, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to integrate modern training technology and simulation tools.
