Government & Enterprise Account Manager (Mobile Industry)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage key enterprise and government accounts in the mobile and energy sectors.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with off-grid solar and telecom enterprises.

• Manage the full sales cycle including lead generation, negotiation, contracting, delivery, and after-sales support.

• Build strong relationships with key clients, government bodies, and strategic partners.

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions meeting client needs.

• Analyze market trends, prepare business reports, and support strategic planning across the East African region.

Key Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Marketing, International Trade, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of account management or business development experience in the mobile phone or consumer electronics industry.

• Mandatory: Proven experience working with off-grid solar companies such as d.light, Sun King, ENGIE Energy Access, or Bboxx (or similar) in Africa, ideally in Kenya or East Africa.

• Strong understanding of East African government and enterprise procurement processes, particularly in telecom, mobile, or energy sectors.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a strong record of closing enterprise or government deals.

• Fluent in English (written & spoken); Swahili and/or French proficiency is an advantage.

• Ability to travel frequently within Kenya and neighboring East African countries and work effectively in cross-cultural environments.

• Strong network with telecom operators, energy providers, and government agencies is highly desirable.
