Job summary
Our client is a Christian-based primary school located along Kerarapon Road, dedicated to nurturing the whole child academically, spiritually, and socially through the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) is seeking a passionate and committed Grade 2 Class Teacher to join their teaching team.
Job descriptions & requirements
• Ensure full coverage of the curriculum within designated timelines, adapting lessons for diverse learning needs (visual, auditory, kinesthetic).
• Prepare comprehensive schemes of work.
• Foster a supportive teacher-learner relationship that encourages open communication.
• Address concerns from learners or parents tactfully, involving the Head Teacher as needed.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during school hours and report any injuries or health issues to the Head Teacher, administering first aid as necessary.
• Identify and communicate any student-related issues to the Head Teacher.
• Maintain an accurate class register for both morning and afternoon sessions.
• Use student diaries to relay important information regarding student progress to parents.
• Actively participate in organizing school functions and activities.
• To perform any other duty that may be assigned form time to time.
Qualifications
• A Minimum of KHA Diploma or its equivalent from a recognized institution or a Primary Teacher Education (PTE) Certificate (formerly known as P1 Certificate)
• Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission.
• At least 5 years teaching experience from a recognized institution.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and modern teaching methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning needs.
• Proficient in using educational technology and teaching aids to enhance learning experiences.
• Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and maintain accurate records.
