Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and sanitization
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the facility.
This includes sweeping and mopping floors, dusting surfaces, cleaning windows, and disinfecting surfaces, equipment, and furniture.
Emptying trash bins, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper disposal of waste in accordance with safety and hygienic standards.
Laundry services
Responsible for managing laundry services within the hospital.
The laundry services include sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens, towels, and other fabrics used in the facility.
Kitchen Maintenance
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Follow proper storage and labeling procedures for food items.
Prepare tea and snacks for the clinic staff according to the established guidelines.
Adherent to food safety and hygiene standards.
Adhering to the safety and hygiene standards
Adhere to strict safety and hygiene standards within the clinic facility.
Following infection control protocols, using appropriate cleaning agents, and wearing personal
protection equipment (PPE)as necessary.
Organizing and restocking
Organizing and maintaining stock levels of supplies such as cleaning agents and toiletries.
Monitor and replenish kitchen supplies, including tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and snacks.
Checking inventory of these items and informing the appropriate personnel when additional supplies are needed.
Coordinating with staff members to ensure the availability of essential items.
Assistance with patient services
Helping patients with basic needs such as guiding them to the appropriate areas within the clinic or escorting them to examination rooms.
Assisting with the patient registration process.
Helping with patient flow management, ensuring smooth transition between different areas of the clinic.
Support services
Providing support services to the clinical staff, such as delivering files, equipment, or specimens to different departments within the clinic.
Assist with setting up examination rooms, preparing equipment, and ensuring that they are in proper condition.
Communication and collaboration
Communicate with clinic staff regarding any specific cleaning or maintenance needs.
Collaborate with other support staff to ensure smooth operations and contribute to creating a clean and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
Coordinate tea and snacks timing with staff and fulfil their refreshment requirements.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Certificate in Infection Control Practices in Housekeeping and Laundry.
Food handler Certificate.
Certificate of Good Conduct.
Copy of national identification document(ID/Passport)
Experience
At least two (2) years’ working experience in a service-oriented industry.
Skills and Competencies
Cleaning and sanitation knowledge and familiarity with hygiene practices in a healthcare environment.
Ability to manage tasks efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain an orderly and clean environment.
Attention to detail and able to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned.
Good communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and visitors.
Have great physical stamina, hence able to work for an extended period.
