Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and well-presented Junior Waiter to join our warm and business-oriented hotel team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will primarily support dining operations and assist at the reception desk. This role is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, eager to learn, and able to multitask in a hospitality environment.

About the Role
Key Responsibilities
Dining & Service Duties
- Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service during
meal times
- Set up and prepare the dining room for breakfast service (no
cooking involved)
- Clear tables, maintain cleanliness, and uphold hygiene
standards
- Ensure dining areas are well-organized and guest-ready at all times
Reception Support
- Welcome and assist guests when required
- Handle simple check-in/check-out tasks
- Respond to basic inquiries in a polite and professional
manner
- Support smooth front office operations when needed
General Duties
- Report guest concerns or operational issues promptly
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a
seamless guest experience
- Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and high work ethic
Work Schedule
The work week includes 6 working days (tbc) structured as follows:
- 4 days/week: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 1 day/week: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 1 day/week after late shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Off Time:
- From 2:00 PM on the 6th day
- Full day off on the 7th day
Qualifications
- Experience in food service is an added advantage but not
mandatory
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills for light reception duties
- Well-groomed, punctual, disciplined, and reliable
- Able to stand for long periods and work in a business
environment
- Willingness to learn and support multiple departments
