Job Summary

We are seeking to hire a Mechanical Sales Engineer who is driven, experienced, and has a solid track record of introducing and selling complex products. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our team by focusing on new prospects and strengthening current customer connections to drive sales and increase customer satisfaction.

Job Description/Requirements

Job Type: Full-time
Job Location: Kenya (Nairobi)

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and generate leads.
• Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide solutions.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to customers.
• Provide technical support to customers throughout the sales process.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposals and quotes.
• Negotiate contracts and close sales.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies.
• Provide feedback to the product development team to improve products and services.
• Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles to achieve sales targets.
• Prepare routine reports on daily meetings with customers
• Increase sales of products to our target markets, manage the territory to expand our market share, and grow sales.
• Review customer or project specifications and make product selections as well as quotations.
• Communicate, develop, and maintain relationships with customers.
• Visit clients within and outside Nairobi for technical solutions propositions.

Qualification / Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of work experience as a Sales Engineer
• Solid technical background with understanding and hands-on experience in Engineering products.

Requirements:
• Proven track record of successful sales.
• Strong technical background.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Willingness to travel.
