KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. You are the product manager on the ground as far as the business CEOs and their teams are concerned. You have a lot of influence but no formal authority.
  2. You are the No. 1 sounding board for the PM outside the CEO. When there is non-clarity between business expectations and technical outputs, it is your job to fix it using knowledge, influence, and action.
  3. When products are not working well in the market, you are the point of call for CEO, Sales, and Operation teams and they expect you to relate this to the product manager.
  4. When they are assumed to be working well, it’s your job to ensure they are working well and are growing and delivering the best value experience wise and top-line wise.
  5. You are the businesses’ connection to the technical product manager. When there are local regional partners/services/resources that are needed to ensure the delivery of a product/service, it’s your job to help source and proactively manage them.
  6. At times you may need to do research/talk to customers on your own/at CEO’s request to know more about your market.

Organizational:

  1. Manage and master efficient and effective cooperation between business units and the tech setups
  2. Ensure communication of new product developments to the CEO and sales teams
  3. Touchpoint of execution of any product/service partnership in markets. 
  4. Equip sales/ops team with adequate knowledge of our tools and tech.

Reporting:

  1. Frequently report product and service updates to the CEO and all relevant stakeholders.

Functional:

  1. Take products and services of the business to market working closely with the CEO & relevant stakeholders.
  2. Responsibility for the usage, success and continual growth of topline (or otherwise influence modification or recalling) of platform-based products and services in the market. You need to ensure growth in all the products and identify issues and advice teams to close holes and improve on the products.
  3. Manage the business relationship on a continuous basis with the technical Product Manager. This involves but is not limited to scoping needs, providing business feedback, sprint bug tickets, user feedback, or optimization feedback based on internal/external experience, future needs, and market knowledge.
  4. Responsibility for measuring market competitiveness and position of your business in your region.
  5. Consult the CEO on local operational requirements for successful product launches
  6. Work with CEO & relevant stakeholders to determine product pricing by utilizing market research data, review costs, and anticipating order volume 
  7. Other activities and assignments as assigned by the CEO

  • Head of Vertical, Cars (dotted reporting line in alignment with TPM)
  • CEO/business leads
  • Technical Product Manager
  • Sales and Operation Teams in markets.

KPIs to Measure Success.

  1. Revenue Growth in all platform-based product m-o-m
  2. NPS growth q-o-q
  3. Successful market launch of products as planned to time (this does not include dev time)
  4. Rating by HOV, CEOs, and TPM on a m-o-m (Q: Has the PM being helpful to growing/equipping your team and business)


EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of relevant business experience with a proven track record;  
  • Solid experience as a Product Manager within the digital &/or SaaS industries. Having experience within the Classifieds industry is a plus;  
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change;  
  • Strong analytical skills; 
  • Logical thinking, common-sense approach; 
  • Cross-functional driver; 
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment;  
  • Solid understanding of UI and UX; 
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills;
