Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager will oversee picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation, and administrative functions of the warehouse.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Enforcing and ensuring compliance with regards to the company’s policies with regards to stock management, dispatching, receiving, storage and safety
2. Maintaining orderly and safe stock keeping
3. Ensuring binning accuracy for items managed by bins
4. Supervising and training the warehouse staff.
5. Maintaining stock accuracy in the warehouses with regards to quantity and location
6. Conducting of random physical count and reconciling with the system quantities and reporting issues of concern.
7. Co-ordinate the quarterly stock count process and reconcile the variances
8. Ensuring the safeguarding of stock by maintaining effective access control to stock and upholding the dispatch process.
9. Ensuring acceptable turnaround between order placement and delivery to customers
10. Highlighting items that require replenishment based on stock levels.
11. Managing of quarantine area and ensuring the quick resolve to issues
12. Reporting on aging/expired/damaged stock in the warehouse
13. Ensure MHE used in warehouse is properly maintained and servicing/inspection is up to date
14. Tracking expenses with regards to warehouse and ensuring they accurate and within control.
15. Providing reports with regards to the above areas of responsibility
16. Ensure 3rd party use of forklift is managed through in-house technology and billed at the end of every month
17. Upholding Health and Safety standards within the warehouse and during loading and unloading
Requirements:
· Bachelor of Commerce -Supply Chain Option
· 5+ years’ relevant work experience with 2 years at Supervisory level.
· Proven track record of good performance
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft office specifically excel and PowerPoint.
· Exposure of SAP ERP Module
· Must portray high level of integrity
· Firm grasp of modern management skills and tactics
Skills and Competencies
- Brilliant oral and written communication skills.
- Highly-analytical with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to write complex accurate reports.
- Able to work in a challenging environment in which flexibility and responsiveness is essential
