Accountant

• Verify sites daily revenue collection reports and banking for accuracy.
• Prepare monthly revenue reports per site and present for approval.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual tenant invoicing is done and shared in a timely manner.
• Ensure monthly parking Management services invoices and updated customer statements are done and shared in a timely manner.
• Reconcile client accounts statements to the customer account and share with clients where appropriate
• Prepare Payment vouchers keeping in mind Withholding taxes and other previous deductions made.
• Preparation of payment vouchers for client revenue share invoices keeping in mind withholding taxes and any previous deductions made.
• Filing returns for withholding VAT/tax done against client revenue payments on itax and preparation of the payments to KRA for the same.
• Preparation of bank and Mpesa accounts reconciliation statements related to parking revenue per site on a monthly basis.
• Run monthly depreciation of the assets in the system ensuring that the depreciation and accumulated depreciation values are updated correctly.
• Conduct period physical asset verification and reconciliation to the system assets ledger.
• Recommend assets impairment, write-off or disposal where applicable and record the resultant transactions in the system.
• Reconcile the fixed assets sub-ledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis 
• Participate in the departments periodic processes including month-end closure, year-end closure and annual audit procedures 
• Any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Professional certification of CPA III (CPA finalist) is mandatory
• Should have at least 2 years in general accounting
• Proficiency in standard computer application such as Microsoft Excel
• In depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Reporting Financial Standards
• Knowledge of relevant laws and standards to ensure the company’s compliance in financial reporting 
• Data management and analytics skills
